Find Your Police Service Area
The District of Columbia is divided into seven police districts and every resident lives in a Police Service Area (PSA). Residents can get to know their Police Service Area (PSA) team members and learn how to work with them to fight crime and disorder in their neighborhoods.

Find Your Fire Station
DC Fire and EMS has stations located across all eight wards of the District of Columbia. To find your location station, go here.

Tours, which provide an opportunity to meet firefighters and paramedics, are also available upon request. For more information about scheduling a tour, go here.

Plan an Event
Interested in hosting an event in the Nation’s Capital? The Government of the District of Columbia provides essential municipal services in support of special events to ensure events occurring on public space in the District are conducted in a manner that protects public health and safety.

From December 2016 – February 2017, the District underwent a comprehensive national search for a permanent chief of the Metropolitan Police Department. The search included a public engagement plan including small group discussions, a community conversation telephone town hall, and a survey to ensure residents had the opportunity to share their public safety priorities and concerns. A summary of the search process and findings from the public engagement activities can be reviewed here.

Concealed Pistol Licensing Review Board (CPLRB)
The Concealed Licensing Review Board (“Board” or “CPLRB”) reviews appeals of denials of an application or renewal application for a concealed pistol license (“CPL”) issued by the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department (“Chief”). The CPLRB also reviews appeals of CPL revocations and suspensions. D.C. Code § 7-2509.01 et seq.; 1 DCMR Chapter 12.
